Wychwood was started in 1983 as a one-man band producing 8 to 10 barrels per week.  As customers demanded more beer a larger operation was set up on the site of the old Clinch's brewery, which dates back to the 1830's.  The Brewery is now capable of producing 600 barrels a week!

There beers contain local water from the river Windrush, English malt in various recipes, hops and yeast.  No additives are used and over the years Wychwood Brewery has received various awards, mainly from the branches of the Campaign for Real Ale.  Proof that there policy of producing high quality traditional beer is satisfying an increasingly knowledgeable and discerning public.
